Hazelnut black bean brownies {Vegan, Sugar free}

Serves: Makes 9
  • 1 tin black beans drained
  • ½ cup Natvia
  • 2 tbsp milled flax
  • ½ cup cacao powder
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil melted
  • 2 tbsp hazelnut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  1. Place the milled flax in a bowl along with 6 tbsp of water set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. If using Natvia place it in the blender and blitz until a fine powder.
  3. Add in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, hazelnut butter, coconut oil, almond milk, vanilla, baking powder, black beans and the flax mixture.
  4. Blend until you have a smooth mixture.
  5. Transfer the mix to a bowl and fold in the hazelnuts and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the mixture into a lined 8x8 baking tin and place in a preheated oven at 350F/ 170 C for approximately 30-35 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before cutting into individual brownies.
  8. Top with some chopped hazelnuts and enjoy!
