Winter spiced perfect porridge

  • ½ cup oats
  • 1 + ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 2 tsp almond butter
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp mixed spice
  • Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the oat mixture to a gentle boil.
  3. After 2 minutes reduce the heat and allow the oats to summer for 4-6 minutes.
  4. By this time the oats should have soaked up all the milk to make a really creamy porridge.
  5. Pour into your serving bowl and top with some fruit, nuts and nut butter.
  6. Enjoy!
